UX & Product Design

From data to design decisions.

Niveux levels up user journeys by turning actual user behavior into practical design decisions.

Niveux · /niˈvo/

Who is behind Niveux?

Nicolai Velzel.

I’m a UX designer who believes good design starts with understanding the people using it.

My drive and philosophy is not only making things look good, but making things that solve real user problems.

I build based on user research, behavior and solutions that are backed by data, not guesswork. By using tools like Clarity and GA4, I find insights that I can translate into concrete design and front-end changes.

My view of modern UX

UX is more than the visible surface.

A lot of what passes for “UX advice” online stops at layout, color, and spacing. That’s real, but it’s not where the work happens.

UX design is not about making things look good. Or rather, that’s not where it ends. It’s making things that look good and solve real problems.

It is making small, data-driven changes to a single button, headline, or flow because the numbers said something wasn’t working. It is sitting with heatmaps, session recordings and user interviews until a pattern emerges.

It is designing not for yourself, and not for your client, but for the actual human being on the other side of the screen.

UX design is problem solving.
01

Observe

Find where users struggle through research, behavior and data.

02

Hypothesize

Turn patterns into concrete ideas about what could work better.

03

Measure

Test changes and measure whether they actually helped.

How did I come up with the name?

Niveux = Ni + Ve + UX.

Ni comes from Nicolai. Ve comes from Velzel. UX is the market I work in.

Together: Niveux. It echoes the Dutch word niveau, meaning “level”.

niveux /niˈvo/

The point

Leveling up user experiences, one solution at a time.
